The Padron Family

Maliyah & Daniel are probably the clients that are most dear to my heart. They were my first couple session in Oceanside, CA and kind of marked the start of something new for me.

I got to photograph them just before Daniel was promoted to corporal. They hadn’t been married very long, and we were all a little bit excited. This is when I found my favorite spot to photograph on Camp Pendleton, where I started to feel more comfortable with directing anyone into poses and shot some of my (still) favorite photos. Everything about their session felt easy-breezy, like the camera was made just to take their picture.

Since then… I’ve had the honor of taking their pregnancy announcement photos - we were pregnant at the same time (which was actually so much fun) and our babies are the same age, and now I get to capture their last Oceanside Era memories in a couple of weeks before they move across the country on military orders!

Getting to be their photographer has made my heart so happy.
